A recent presentation given by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture, Quality Assurance Division (HDOA) at the Hawaii Coffee Association’s annual conference revealed the coffee certification and grading statistics for the 2018-2019 season. At Hawaiian Queen Coffee we have every single bean of our 100% Kona coffee independently certified for origin and grade (quality) by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture. The Hawaii Coffee Association held its annual conference at the Maui Tropical Plantation from July 19-21, 2017. In conjunction with the conference, the HCA also held the 9th annual statewide coffee cupping competition which had 107 total entries. The competition is divided into two divisions, commercial and creative, and is open to all coffee farms in Hawaii. Hawaiian Queen Coffee placed 2 entries in the Top 5 of the commercial division.
